Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya
Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya is the founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. Born in Akure, Ondo State, he studied in Akure and Lagos and became a Christian while attending Methodist Boys’ High School.
He studied microbiology at the University of Lagos and went on to earn a doctorate in molecular genetics at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. On returning to Nigeria, he worked at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research in Yaba and contributed to scientific research and teaching.
In 1989, he called a prayer meeting in his living room attended by 24 people. The gatherings grew and eventually developed into MFM, which held its first church service in 1994. His ministry is known for Bible teaching, prayer, holiness, evangelism and deliverance. He has also authored many Christian books.
